Wellsville Central School Creates New Scholarship Endowment Fund

The Wellsville Central School has created a new endowment fund at the Allegany County Area Foundation.  The annual earnings from this endowment fund will be used to fund the new Wellsville Central School General Scholarship Fund.  This fund will be managed by the Allegany County Area Foundation. The first award will be given out once the earnings have reached a minimum of $500.
The recipients for this scholarship will be those who graduate from the Wellsville High School who plan to attend college full time.  They must have attended the Wellsville High School for all four years.  Also, preference will be given to a student who has financial need.

This fund will provide a way for donors to help Wellsville graduates pursue their dream of attending college.  Donors may contribute to this fund through a general donation or as a memorial for a loved one or to honor someone if they wish. Those who would like to make an online donation to this new fund may visit the Allegany County Area Foundation web site at: http://alleganycountyareafoundation.org/make-a-donation/ and then select The Wellsville Central School General Scholarship Fund.

Those who would like to contribute to this new fund may also send a check made payable to: The Allegany County Area Foundation, 6087 State Route 19N, Ste. 180, Belmont. NY 14813.  Please write : The WCS General Scholarship Fund on the memo line.
