Steuben County: Father badly injured in attack by son


A father – son domestic dispute that occurred during the early morning hours on Saturday has resulted in the arrest of a Bath man.  At approximately 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Troopers were dispatched to Corning Hospital for an assault victim with serious injuries.  State Police Senior Investigator Curt Eaton said that at approximately 2:00 a.m. on December 23rd, at a private residence in the Town of Jasper, Christopher W. Quick, age 37, of #4 Colonial Lawns, Bath, N.Y. allegedly repeatedly struck his father, resulting in orbital fractures, puncture wounds to the chest, and lacerations to the head, hand, and face.  With the assistance of Corning Police Dept., Troopers located Quick at a private residence in the City of Corning.  He was charged with Attempted Assault, 2nd degree, a class “E” felony; arraigned before Bath Town Justice James Burns; and remanded to jail without bail.  The victim was treated at Corning Hospital, and subsequently transferred to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.
