Obituary: Lisa Ann Miller-Cutten, 53, Wellsville native


It is with great sadness that on Tuesday, December 19th, Lisa Ann Miller-Cutten, cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, teacher, passed away. Lisa was born in Wellsville, NY on December 16th, 1964. She graduated in 1983 from Wellsville High School and attended Alfred State and Brockport State University, earning her master’s in Education. Lisa taught for the past 30 years, most recently as a Math Specialist at Munn Elementary and served as vice president of the Spencerport Teacher’s Association. She was an avid advocate for her coworkers and students. Her smile and laughter will be missed by all.
She loved photographing the creek at her residence with Rod, her husband of 30 years, in Churchville, NY. She loved spending time in her flower gardens and returning to Wellsville to visit with old friends.
She will be missed by her sons, Justin Cutten (Devan Harrington) of Andover, NY and Nathan Cutten of Maryville, Tennessee. Her 7 month old grandson, Bensen, was the light of her life. Her parents, Norman and Wilda Miller of Wellsville, NY, sister, Mary Lou Lovel (Curtis Lovel), of Chesapeake Va, brothers, Jody Miller (Kathleen) of East Aurora, NY and Norman Scott Miller of Rochester, will miss her smile and positive attitude. Lisa will be fondly remembered by her father-in-law, Bates Cutten and her brother-in-laws, Scott, Mark (Lisa) and Eric Cutten (Orlando). Lisa is pre-deceased by her mother-in-law, Beverly Cutten.
 She loved her nieces, Kimberly Wilson (Nat), Rachel (Brad) and Sarah Miller (Julius), Nicole Cutten and nephews, Derek Lovel (Stephanie) and Norman Paul Miller, Ben Cutten, as well as many of her great nieces and great nephews.  Celebration of Lisa’s life will be held December 27, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at the Spencerport High School Auditorium, Spencerport, NY and December 30th at 11:00 a.m. in Wellsville, NY at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church on Fassett Lane.
