Obituary: Lois June Truax, 93, Alfred

Alfred - Lois June Truax, 93, of Alfred, New York, entered into the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior on Dec. 21, 2017 at the Highlands Regional Hospital, Sebring, Fl.
She was born on June 17, 1924, the youngest daughter of Zera and Leah Bacon.
After graduation from high school she was employed at Acme Electric for over 30 years. She married Merle E. Truax on January 20, 1941.
She was a most generous, thoughtful and compassionate person, always thinking of the needs of others before her own. Her wit and sense of humor brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
She enjoyed bowling for many years and was talented at crocheting.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Andover, NY.
She is survived by her loving son; Gene (Barb) Truax, daughter; Myrna Adderly, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Merle, her daughter Carol Keiser, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends may call Saturday Dec. 30, 2017 from 1-3PM at the Bender – Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St. Hornell, NY, where funeral services will be held immediately following calling hours at 3 PM. Burial will be in N. Bingham Cemetery.
