Allegany County home damaged by fire - Red Cross helping family of six

A fire Tuesday afternoon damaged a single story home on Mcmahon Road in Birdsall. Several area fire departments responded to the scene.  Fire crews remained at the scene for several hours. The Red Cross was requested to assist one adult female and five children ranging in age from 2-16. Fire investigators were also called to the home to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
