Betty was a 1960 graduate of Wellsville High School and was
a long time resident of Rochester. She was formerly employed at Lakeshore
Nursing Home and Via Health Home Care 2, both in the Rochester area. She has
resided in Wellsville for the past 10 years.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Wanda Cooper and a
step-son, Mark (Grace) Sheared both of Rochester, four grandchildren, four
great grandchildren, a sister, Marilyn Sworthout of Brooksville, Florida, a
brother, Kenneth Curry of Wellsville, a sister-in-law, Lila Curry of Genesee,
PA, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased in addition to her parents and husband by two brothers, Richard and
Edward Curry and two sisters, Marjorie Mitchel and Joyce Darling.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from
1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The
funeral will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with her
nephew, Jeff Curry presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Please
