Cattaraugus Deputies say speeds reached 130 mph in chase

A 23-year-old man was arrested this week following a wild car chase. Deputies said it happened Tuesday in the Town of Coldspring. Deputies said they clocked Chase M. Miller of Conewango traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. When they attempted to pull the car over, engines roared. Police said Miller refused to stop and entered I-86. That's where deputies said speeds reached 130 mph and that's when police called off the pursuit for safety reasons. A short time later, police arrived at Miller's home and took him into custody. He was charged with 3rd degree unlawful fleeing a police officer, two speeding counts (130/55; 70/55), reckless driving and driving out of class. He'll appear in court at a later date.
