Wellsville man gets jail time following wild police chase

The Wellsville man who led police on a wild police chase from Hornell to Wellsville three months ago will spend some time in jail. On Thursday, Kelly L. Baker, 47, of Route 19, was sentenced to four months of weekend time in the Allegany County Jail. Judge Thomas Brown also placed Baker on five years probation and directed him to pay a court surcharge and DNA fee. On May 10th, Baker pleaded guilty to felony criminal mischief for intentionally ramming an Allegany County Sheriff's vehicle.
Authorities said the chase, which began in Steuben County and reached speeds over 110 mph, ended abruptly in Wellsville February 3rd.
