Scio Manslaughter Case: Suspect Released From Jail -back in court tonight
The Scio motorist arrested for striking a pedestrian, which resulted in a Wellsville man's death, has been released from jail. The Allegany County Sheriff's Office today confirmed that bail was posted for 43-year-old Todd V. Gardner of Scio. He was charged by State Police with Manslaughter and Driving While Intoxicated. Gardner is accused of driving his car on County Road 18 in Scio early Monday and hitting Douglas Brauen, 37, of Wellsville. He later died at Jones Memorial Hospital. Garner will make an appearance in local court for procedural matters. He'll appear in Town of Scio court at 7 p.m. according to Investigator Rod Perry of the State Police. The case will eventually land in county court.
