The Genesee Valley Chorus will perform their spring concert twice this weekend at the David A. Howe Library Auditorium in Wellsville: Friday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 4 at 3:00 p.m. The entertaining "Retro" concerts will feature music of the 50's, familiar songs performed by the Chorus and soloists complete with poodle skirts, juke box and lots of nostalgia. The group is directed by Norma Bartlett, and accompanied by Carole Aldrich.
Chorus members will also be singing the American and Canadian National Anthems, and several Celtic numbers at the Celtic Festival in Cuba, NY on June 3.
Genesee Valley Chorus practices, held on Tuesday evenings, have ended for this season and will resume the Tuesday after Labor Day. Interested singers are welcome to join the group next season.
