Allegany County Sheriff's Blotter

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on May 25th, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Donald G. Williams, age 28 of Bolivar, charging him with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Tempering in the 3rd Degree, and Criminal Nuisance in the 2nd Degree. The charges stem from an investigation by deputies into an incident that occurred inside the Allegany County Jail when Williams allegedly damaged a sprinkler head. Williams was processed and transported to the Town of Amity Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $5,000.00 cash / $10,000 Insurance Company Bond.  Williams is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Amity Court on June 28th, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. for additional court action.

On May 24, deputies arrested Maegan M. Rix, 25 of Penn Yan, on an Allegany County Violation of Probation Warrant. Rix was processed and transported to the Allegany County Jail without bail and will appear in Allegany County Court at a later date for additional court action.
