Castile man arrested after dispute

Christopher Volk, 22 of Castile, was arrested following a domestic incident on Toolhouse Road in the Town of Warsaw.  According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Volk was accused of taking a cell phone out of the victim’s hand and taking it to a remote location near the residence.  An order of protection was in place at the time protecting the victim from Volk.  Volk later returned to the scene when police were on location at which time Volk was taken into custody.  It was also determined that Volk was convicted of the family offense of Assault in the Third Degree in 2015 in connection with another domestic incident.  Volk was charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, and Aggravated Family Offense.  Volk was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court where he was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bond.  Volk was scheduled to return to the Town of Warsaw Court on February 6, 2017 for further proceedings.
