STATE OF EMERGENCY RESCINDED
AN ORDER TO RESCIND EMERGENCY ORDER OF THE COUNTY OF ALLEGANY COUNTY DATED JUNE 6, 2025
WHEREAS, a Local State of Emergency was declared due to flooding, by Executive Order on June 6, 2025, at 9:00 p.m.; and WHEREAS, an Emergency Order was issued on June 6, 2025, at 9:15 p.m. instituting a Travel Ban in the Towns of Cuba and West Almond, and a Travel Advisory in the Towns of Almond, Friendship, New Hudson, and Rushford, and
WHEREAS, many of the conditions which required the declaration of the Local State of Emergency and Emergency Order no longer exist.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Executive Order declaring the Local State of Emergency on June 6, 2025, at 9:00 p.m., and the Emergency Order dated June 6, 2025, at 9:15 p.m. are hereby rescinded. However, a Travel Ban will remain in effect around the Cuba Lake area including Abbott Road, Rawson Road, County Road 17, County Road 20, and the North Branch Road until 12:00 p.m.

Belmont, NY - As of 9:15 a.m. on June 7, 2025, Chairman W. Brooke Harris rescinded the State of Emergency and Emergency Order related to dangerous flooding and road conditions that were issued last night.
A Travel Ban will remain in effect around the Cuba Lake area including the Abbott Road, Rawson Road, County Road 17, County Road 20, and North Branch Road until 12:00 p.m.
Please continue to use caution and monitor the weather and road conditions when traveling.
