Bath responds to two-alarm fire

***** PRESS RELEASE *****

On Thursday 6/12/25 at around 4:15pm, Bath Fire Units were dispatched to 2 Chestnut Street in the Village of Bath for a report of a shop on fire. Additional calls were made stating the house attached to the shop was now on fire. Bath Assistant Chief 503 Anthony Cilino was first on scene and found fire coming from the rear of the structure. A Second Alarm assignment was requested. All occupants were reported out of the residence. The fire is currently under investigation.

Units from Bath, The Bath VA, Hammondsport, Kanona, Bath Ambulance were at the scene, Painted Post Fire was on standby at the Bath Fire Station to cover both the town of Bath and the Bath VA.

All Units were clear of the scene around 6:15pm.

Red Cross was called to assist the family.
