Wellsville man charged with a dozen counts by sheriff deputies
On 06/12/2025, Deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office arrested RANDY ABEL, age 36, of Wellsville, NY for 12 counts of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree (Class A misdemeanor) following an investigation during which it was alleged that he made numerous phone calls to a protected party while at the Allegany County jail. ABEL was arraigned in CAP Court and remains in the Allegany County Jail awaiting further Court action. Deputies were assisted by members of the Allegany County Probation Department during the investigation.
