Wellsville Town Board member resigns

Former Deputy Town of Wellsville Supervisor and Councilman Mike Miller has announced his resignation. During a conversation Wednesday morning, Miller cited family obligations as the main factor, although he did not rule out a return to local government in the future. Miller's term was set to end December 31, 2025.

Miller said he also hopes to invest more time in growing the Wellsville Rotary club.

Here is his notice:

To Whom it May Concern,

Please accept my resignation from the Wellsville Town Board effective immediately. I have been honored to serve the Town of Wellsville for the last 7 and a half years. I am very confident in the Board and the employees of the Town going forward. They all work very hard to make Wellsville a great place to live, work, and visit.

When I began on the Board my daughters were 9 and 4 years old. They are now 16 and 11. I want to spend as much time with them as possible given the other responsibilities I have. I look forward to serving in some capacity again in the future. Until then, I wish only the best to everyone associated with the Town.

Sincerely,

Michael Miller
