The Allegany County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) will hold a public hearing February 9th at 10 a.m. for a proposed solar project. NY Independence State Route 248 Solar LLC has requested help from the IDA in the acquisition of about a 15-acre parcel of land at 1550 State Route 248. The company also seeks assistance with the construction of a 1.5 megawatt solar energy generating facility and other equipment necessary for the project. The company is also seeking for some tax exemptions.
