A Southern Tier congressman has hinted that he may be interested in a job change. Republican Tom Reed of Corning, whose district spans from Chautauqua County to Ithaca, hinted that he may run for statewide office. Reed said on Thursday, “Governor Cuomo, your days are numbered and there’s leadership coming to Albany very soon.” Over the past many months, Reed has stepped up his anti-Cuomo rhetoric. However, he stopped short on Thursday of declaring his candidacy. A Cuomo spokesperson called Reed a QANON Trump puppet.
