Canasaraga Central shifts to remore learning for grades 7-12

From Canaseraga School:

Unfortunately we have another positive student case of COVID-19 in our school community.
Due to the impact on our high school teaching staff – our 7 thru 12 students will go fully remote starting on Thursday, December 17. Assuming things improve, 7-12 students will return to in-person instruction on Monday, January 4.
Our PK thru 6th grade students will continue attending in-person instruction.
Thursday will be a day for our high school teachers to prepare for the week of remote instruction. Regular remote instruction will begin on Friday, December 18. This is an adjustment to the schedule students have received and is posted on the school website.
If we have a snow day on Thursday, there will be no instruction – enjoy the day – and the prep day for teachers will move to Friday. In this event, students should be checking Google classroom and their email for details from their teachers.
Students should know that assignments during remote instruction will be graded and student engagement is absolutely expected. If students need hard copy materials they should consult with their teachers or call the school main office.
We will again be providing meals for 7-12 students in remote instruction who would like them. At this point, the plan is to deliver meals and hard copy materials the afternoon of Friday, December 18. If you would like meals, I will be releasing a form through the Remind app. You can also call the main office. The link is also provided here: https://forms.gle/pHVvKRAfGH81V6Kq6
Students in special education programs outside the building will continue to attend those programs unless students are in quarantine.
Any students who attend a vocational program can attend their classes in-person. We will be transporting students to the Wildwood Campus. The buses will leave the school building at their normal times. Students will not be picked up at home.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we move to remote instruction with our 7-12 students.
