STEUBEN REPORTS FOUR DEATHS RELATED TO COVID-19
BATH – The Steuben County Public Health Department received notification of the death of four individuals who had previously tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Steuben County to 115. Two individuals were male residents of the Fred and Harriett Taylor Health Center, age 90 and 66. One individual was a 76 year old male resident of Absolut Care Three Rivers who died while hospitalized. Another individual was a 64 year old male, Town of Wayne resident who died while hospitalized.
“Our county and communities continue to suffer great loss with each and every death due to COVID-19,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith. “These men were fathers, brothers, sons and friends to many. Let’s all abide by the COVID safety protocols to protect our friends and family in our community and nursing homes.”
All residents should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell and contact their healthcare provider for instructions if feeling ill.
