State of Emergency extended in Alma

DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY EXTENDED IN THE TOWN OF ALMA, NEW YORK

The Town of Alma, following the Governor's declaration of a State of Emergency for the State of NY, and Allegany County's declaration, originally declared a State of Emergency to prepare for and manage Covid-19 response on March 15, 2020.

As of November 8, 2020, Allegany County DOH reported 526 confirmed cases of Covid-19. It is essential that we continue to work together within our various purviews to keep one another and ourselves safe and healthy.

Accordingly, as of 10:00 P.M. November 8, 2020 with the power given by New York State Executive Law §24, I, Ronald Staedt, Town of Alma Supervisor, find that the public safety continues to be imperiled by the Corona Virus Covid-19, and hereby extend the declared state of emergency in the Town of Alma for an additional period of thirty (30) days, through December 8, 2020 unless sooner rescinded by me. During said time there will be no meetings of the Town Board or of any board or committee appointed by the Town, however local orders may enacted.
