Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on September
4, 2020, deputies arrested Christine M. Stevens, age 28, of State Route 415,
Bath, New York, and Jose A. Velez, age 40, also of State Route 415, Bath New
York, following a multi-agency investigation into the alleged sale of narcotics
in the Bath area. Stevens and Velez were arrested on Superior Court Warrants
issued by a Steuben County Grand Jury. Stevens
is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a
class B Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third
Degree, a class B Felony. Velez was
charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a
class C Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth
Degree, a class C Felony. Both Ms.
Stevens and Mr. Velez were held, arraigned and released. Sheriff Allard thanks
the Village of Bath and City of Corning Police Departments for their teamwork
in this investigation.
