HORNELL - Nathan A. Meyers, 63, of 96 Frank Street, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. James Hospital in Hornell, NY.
Born in North Hornell, November 11, 1955, a first born son of Esther Luskus (Neale) and Robert E. Meyers, he had resided his entire life in the southern tier. He was a graduate of Arkport Central School, Class of 1974, and a graduate of Alfred State College.
Nathan was a recent retiree from Ljunstrom in Wellsville and had been working as a current employee at Transportation & Transit Associates in Hornell. Early on, his first love was with the Motor Cross racing scene of Western New York. Not only racing for Bobs 300 of Arkport (#24), but also with photographing his many friends and family still out on the track after he had stopped racing himself. He loved cooking, golfing, bowling, collecting baseball cards, and watching movies. Among his talents in photography, he had a great artistic ability and a bear like hug that was gentle and reassuring. He will be remembered for his love of the Buffalo Bills but most of all for being a great father, son, brother, and friend to all.
Nathan is survived by his mother Esther Luskus, daughters Sarah Meyers of Newman California and Crystal Meyers of Ithaca, sons Brian Meyers of Hornell and Chad (Bethany) Meyers of Rochester, sisters Wendy (Steve) Kimball of Sumter South Carolina, Cassandra (Jeff) Cooper of Arkport, brothers George Meyers of Hornell, Douglas Meyers of Hornell, and Rhett (Wendy) Meyers of Buford Georgia, grandchildren Jordyn, Owen, Thomas and Mei, and many nieces and nephews.
