NY State Police Blotter

8/21/18 9:24am- State police arrested Brandon G. Gaines, 36, of Bolivar. He was charged with 1st degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony. The alleged crime was reported on May 31st in the village of Belmont.
8/21/18 4:12pm- After investigating a domestic dispute in the town of Burns, state police arrested Timothy P. Covell, 25, of Arkport. He was charged with 3rd degree assault. He was released on his own recognizance. Two other people have already been arrested in this case which occurred August 11th.
8/21/18 10:16am: After investigating a fraud complaint in the town of Clarksville, state police arrested Sheila K. Kwiatowski, 57, of Clarksville. She was charged with 3rd degree grand larceny and 3rd degree welfare fraud, both class D felonies. She was additionally charged with five counts of 1st filing a false instrument with intent to defraud.  She was released on her own recognizance.
8/21/18 10am- State police arrested Roger H. Taft, 49, of Campbell. He was charged with 1st degree falsifying business records.
8/22/18 1:29am- Troopers arrested Paul D. Knox, 61, of Cohocton. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th and harassment with physical contact. He was held on bail.
