Olean cops investigating a strong armed robbery

Olean Police are currently investigating a strong arm robbery that was reported this morning at approximately 1:00 a.m. to the Patrol Officers who responded to the River Trail. The crime scene was near the end of Adams Street. Police searched the area for the suspect but had not luck in making an arrest. The suspect is described as a male black, 5”10 to 6”00 tall and approximately 195 pounds wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and jeans.  Captain Robert Blovsky tells us the suspect fled on foot northbound on Adams Street after the incident. No weapons were used by or observed on the suspect. Police are seeking information on the identity of the suspect or information from anyone who may have seen this person in the area.
