Cops bust Meth lab in Bath

An investigation by the New York State Police at Bath into the production of methamphetamine in the Bath area, has resulted in the dismantling of meth-producing “lab” and criminal charges against the alleged meth-producer.  On May 8th, 2018, Investigators from the BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) at Bath, in conjunction with the Bath Police Dept., developed information indicating that methamphetamine was being produced at a private residence located at #6948 Rumsey St. Extension, just outside the Bath Village line.  Troopers and Investigators, in conjunction with the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (C.C.S.E.R.T.), executed a search warrant at that location, and seized a large quantity of methamphetamine, as well as precursors, reagents, solvents, catalysts, and lab equipment, all of which are used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. 
As a result, William J. Trenchard, age 37, of #6948 Rumsey St. Extension, Bath, N.Y. was charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, 3rd degree, a class “D” felony.  He was arraigned in the town of Bath Court and remanded to the Steuben Co. Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 cash bail or $100,000.00 property bond.  Additional charges are pending action by a Steuben Co. Grand Jury
