Joshua A. Scott, 33 of Gorton Road, Corning: Is charged by
Indictment with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second
Degree, a class A-II felony; and, Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in
the Third Degree, a class D felony based upon allegations that he operated a
mobile meth lab and possessed more than two ounces of methamphetamine in his
vehicle during a traffic stop by the New York State Police from the Painted
Post Barracks in the Town of Corning in
June of 2017.
Brandi Hawkins, 34, of Bath: Is charged by Indictment with
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class C
felony; and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree,
a class D felony based upon allegations that she knowingly possessed with the
intent to sell and sold a narcotic preparation in the Village of Bath in
September of 2017. This arrest was made by the Bath Village Police Department,
with the assistance of the Steuben County Sheriff's Office and members of the District
Attorney's Staff as part of the District Attorney's Drug Initiative.
Raymond H. Nimtz, 52 of Corning and Bath: Is charged by
Indictment with Rape in the First Degree, a class B violent felony, based upon
allegations that forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse with another person at
a location in the Village of Bath in June of 2017. This investigation and
arrest was accomplished by members of the Bath Village Police Department.
Nicholas Fish, 19 of McGraw, NY: Is charged by Indictment
with Burglary in the Third Degree, a class D felony, based upon allegations
that he knowingly and unlawfully entered a building located in the Town of
Hornellsville with the intent to commit the crime of larceny therein on October
13, 2017. This case was investigated and
the arrest made by members of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin Scott, 54 of Canisteo; Whittany Hale, 28 of Bath and
Earl J. Robbins III, 32 of Bath: Are jointly charged by Indictment with
Burglary in the Second Degree, a
class C felony, alleging that
they, aiding and being aided by each other,
knowingly and unlawfully entered a residence on Dublin Road
in the Town of Howard on November 30,
2017 with the intent to commit the crime of larceny
therein. The arrest was made by the New
York State Police based upon an
investigation completed by Troopers and Investigators from the Bath Barracks.
Yamirca Vazquez, 41 of Painted Post: Is charged by
indictment Criminal Possession of a Controlled
Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B felony and Criminal Possession
of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth
Degree, a class D felony, based upon allegations that she knowingly and
unlawfully possessed the narcotic drug
cocaine having a weight of 500 milligrams or more; and with the intent to sell
it, during a traffic stop in the
Town of Campbell on November 7, 2017. The stop and arrest in the case were made by
members of the New York State Police from the Painted Post Barracks.
James M. Sick, 26, of Wayland: Is charged by indictment with
Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Alcohol as a Class E Felony;
Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, a Class
E Felony; Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony; and Ignition
Interlock Failure, a misdemeanor; based upon allegations that he operated a motor vehicle on a public highway in the
Village of Wayland on August 6, 2017 while his ability was impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol; with a child 15 years
of age or younger; without a required ignition interlock device in the vehicle;
and while his license was revoked for a prior DWI conviction. Sick was
previously convicted of DWI as a felony in 2014 and sent to state prison. Sick was stopped and arrested by a member
of the Wayland Village Police Department.
James T. Smith, 29 of Hornell: Is charged by indictment with
Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E felony; and Possessing Prison
Contraband in the First Degree, a class D felony based upon allegations that
while an inmate in the Steuben County
Jail on July 21, 2017 he intentionally
damaged Steuben County property with a value exceeding $250; and possessed an
improvised weapon, constituting dangerous contraband. The investigation and arrest in this case
were handled by corrections officers from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Steuben County Grand Jury investigation also resulted in the
handing up of 6 sealed indictments charging Criminal Possession and Sale of a
Controlled Substance in the Third, Fourth and Fifth Degrees - B, C and D drug
possession and sale counts. "No bail" warrants accompany each sealed
Indictment, and more information will follow once the named Defendants are
arrested and the Indictments are unsealed in Court.
All other individuals above will appear in Steuben County
Court for arraignment at dates to be determined by the County Court.
