In loving memory of Kenneth L. Geffers, 66, of Allentown,
NY, who peacefully left our hearts Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Born January 25, 1951, in Wellsville, NY, he
was the son of Kenneth R. and Beatrice Teribury Geffers. A Vietnam War Veteran, he served honorably
with the US Army.
Leaving behind are his loving fiancée, LouAnn Miller; his
and Sherry's three children, Nina (Wesley) Lewis, Avy (Lynn) Barnett, Luke
(Kathleen Norton) Geffers; grandchildren Jennifer Wulf, Eliza, Wade, and Jake
Lewis; four sisters, Margaret Giblin of Little Genesee, Linda Austin of
Bolivar, Judy Mattison of Wellsville, and Sandy (Chuck) Davis of Alma; four brothers, Daniel (Beverly) Mullen of
Wadsworth, James (Betty) Geffers of Winnsboro/Mt. Pleasant, TX, Larry Geffers
of Wellsville, and Raymond Geffers of Shongo; LouAnn's children, Karin,
Kristina, Arthur, and John; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by a sister, Mary Lynn Geffers; two brothers, Joel Geffers and
Calvin Geffers; and two brothers-in-law, Calvin Mattison and Claude Austin.
Kenny's favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting, horseshoes,
bowling, mechanics, joking with everyone, and spending time with his family and
grandchildren. Most of all, he enjoyed
his work. He was employed by
Transportation and Transit Associates in Hornell, NY. When he became unable to work, due to
illness, he felt a loss. Enjoying trips
to the casino would brighten his days.
A luncheon with Honor Guard will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday,
January 28, 2018 at the American Legion in Wellsville in his honor and
remembrance. Memorials for Kenny may be
made to the Wellsville American Legion or the Wellsville Veterans of Foreign
War, where he was a member.
