One person was killed, two others were injured when a UTV side-by-side crashed at 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Cinder Hill Road in Bingham Township.
State police said Lawrence Tyler, 27, of Ulysses was operating the Ranger 570 EFI, when he lost control. The UTV went off the road, down and struck an embankment. Tyler was taken to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital with suspected serious injuries. Jonathan E. Kio, 47, of Ulysses was the middle seat passenger. He was transported to Jones Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Cale R. Kio, 35, of Ulysses was the right seat passenger. He was taken to Jones Memorial with suspected minor injuries. State police said none of the occupants was wearing a helmet and seatbelts were not in use. The crash investigation continues.
