Jesse C. Terwilliger, 67, of 13 Linwood Ave. passed away
Friday, January 12, 2018 at Jones Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy
illness. Born February 11, 1950 in Pitcairn, PA, he was the son of Elwyn
Terwilliger and Jane Dash. On August 22, 1970 in Olean he married the former
Rebecca L. Gray, who survives. Jesse had grown up in Cuba, where he attended
and was a graduate of Cuba Central School class of 1968. He was honorably
discharged from the US Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. He was a
highly decorated Sergeant with the C Co. Airborne Rangers 75th Infantry. After
the Army, he went to Alfred State College majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
Later he became a Government Contractor He contracted for Boeing, IMB, Bell
Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, and others. He retired in 1992.
He enjoyed woodcarving, motorcycling, traveling, going to
the beach, walking in the woods, and was an avid food enthusiast. Most of all,
he loved his family and spending time with them.
Surviving besides his wife Rebecca are a son, Shawn W.
(Melissa) Terwilliger of Oil City, PA; two daughters, Teri A. (Patrick) Chesney
of Friendship and Kimberly L. (Thomas) Youkers of Olean; seven grandchildren; a
brother, William Dash of Hinsdale; two sisters, Gloria Dash of PA, and Martha
L. Koeng of SC; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral or
visitations. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship.
