Sharon was known for her incredibly large heart and her
phenomenal accomplishments as an artist: both professionally and
recreationally. Before getting her start as a graphic designer at American
Olean Tile (1980-2005), Sharon provided her keen eye to helping the community
of Bolivar. She created the Bolivar Bulldog Costume worn at many a football
games, owned and operated the “Lady Bug Boutique” with Susan Lindamer, and even
helped the American Legion with their window-front dressings. As a graphic
designer for American Olean Tile Co., Sharon was tasked with designing
renderings for businesses and the social elite across the globe. Some of her
favorite accomplishments were designing the Regis Pool, creating a
one-of-a-kind mural of LL Cool J’s first recorded album for his front foyer,
and an impressive mural at the New Orleans “Jackson Brewery”. Sharon’s talents
didn’t stop there. Over the years her gifts graced the backs of both her
children and grandchildren in the forms of incredible Halloween costumes,
wonderful hand crafted works of art, and impeccable home décor.
Above and beyond all, Sharon’s heart and loving nature was
the rock of her character. No matter who walked through the front door, she
loved them unconditionally. For many generations, grandma’s basement was home
to playing billiards and listening to classic rock. She was often found sitting
on the basement steps, enjoying the company of all who were welcomed.
