Almond - Ruth Marie Changose, 83, of 25 Chapel Street, passed away Friday (November 17, 2017) at home.
Born in Alfred, January 8, 1934, the daughter of Irving and Bess (Emson) Mullen, she was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Alfred-Almond Central School. On October 23, 1959 she married Anthony Changose Jr. who survives. She was retired from Alfred University, where she had worked for many years. She and her husband were also the caretakers of Lake Lodge in Alfred. Marie enjoyed camping, Bingo, going to the Casino and ramming around town with her friends, but nothing could compare to her grandkids of which she adored and loved spending time with.
She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Onalee Robinson, 2 brothers Harlan and Robert Mullen.
She is survived by her husband Anthony Changose Jr, 4 sons Gary Brutsman of Hornell, Chris (Teresa) Changose of IN, Michael (Auralee) Changose of Arkport, Joseph (Tory) Changose of GA, 10 grandchildren Becky, Amber, Chad, Christopher, Kimberly, Sydney, Kelsey,Cassandra, Morgan, and Lilly, 10 great grandchildren a sister Wilma Root of Almond, 3 brothers Roger “Moon” Mullen of Almond, Jim Mullen of Wellsville, Alvah Mullen of MI, sister and brother in law Marilyn and Al D’Apice of Hornell, several nieces and nephews.
