Firefighters from Allegany, Cattaraugus counties battle house fire

Firefighters from Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties battled a blaze that damaged a home in Freedom. Volunteers were first alerted at 11:37 p.m. Saturday. They responded to 1809 Cheney Road in the Town of Freedom. Additional help was quickly brought in from Centerville, Farmersville, Delevan, Yorkshire and Arcade. The single story structure sustained significant damage. According to county tax records, the home is owned by Erik and Brandi Frank. There were no initial reports of injuries. Several fire investigators responded to the scene. Fire crews were called back to the scene Sunday when the fire started up again.
