Deadly crash in Cattaraugus County

There has been a deadly crash in Cattaraugus County. It happened just before midnight Sunday in Salamanca on Old Route 17 near where the paved area ends. According to a press statement from the Sheriff’s Office, the driver went off the road and struck a tree. The impact ejected a passenger. Radio reports said there may have been four patients, which prompted a significant response from multiple agencies. Deputies have yet not released the identifies of those involved and said the investigation is continuing.
