Earl W. Travis, 76, of 9007 Daggett Hollow Rd., passed away
Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Cuba Memorial Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit
after a brief illness.
Born on Dec. 15, 1940, in Barrington, New York, he was a son
of Harvey Albert and Dorthia Ada Daggett Travis. On June 24, 1967 he married his wife of fifty
years, the former Salley L. Bowen who survives.
Earl was a self-employed mechanic for many years before
retiring. He enjoyed playing country
music, which included tours in the United States and Canada. He also liked playing cards, bowling,
fishing, and special times with family and friends. In addition to his loving
wife Sally, he is survived by a brother, Silas (Mary) Travis of Colorado; a brother-in-law,
James Arnold of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
parents, two sisters, Rose Emily (George) Losaw and Ethelyn Arnold, and two
brothers Larry Travis and Lyle Travis. At Earl’s request there will be no
visitation or funeral services. His
request was memorials be made to the Clarksville Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box
132, West Clarksville, NY 14786. Arrangements are under direction of the Mark
