Steuben County

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that asphalt pavement overlay work will begin on State Route 415 on Thursday, October 12, 2017, weather permitting.  The project will extend from 0.1 miles north of County Route 333 to 0.1 miles south of Little Acorn Lane, for a total of approximately 4.4 miles.  The scope of this project includes the towns of Campbell and Savona in Steuben County.  Motorists will encounter flaggers, lane closures and could experience travel delays.  It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
