Steuben County Legislature to act on tower project in Whitesville

When the Steuben County Legislature meets October 23rd, it will vote on the following resolution:

RESOLUTION
STEUBEN COUNTY LEGISLATURE
BATH, NEWYORK
TITLE: AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN STEUBEN COUNTY AND ALLEGANY COUNTY FOR SHARED SERVICES OF THEWHITESVILLE TOWER SITE.
Pursuant to General Municipal Law Section 119-o
WHEREAS, Allegany County is in the process of constructing a new tower site off Saunders Road in the Town of Independence known as the “Whitesville Tower Site”; and
WHEREAS, Allegany County has requested assistance with road construction, equipment, manpower and materials from Steuben County for the Site; and WHEREAS, in consideration for Steuben County’s aforementioned assistance Allegany County is providing Steuben County with two (2) racks on the Whitesville Tower Site for radios to be placed and operated at no cost to Steuben for interoperability and improving the County’s current radio infrastructure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Steuben County Legislature authorizes the County Manger to sign the Intermunicipal Agreement relative to Steuben County’s assistance to Allegany County in the recited project; and be it further
RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to Timothy D. Marshall, Director of Emergency Management; Vincent Spagnoletti, Commissioner of Public Works, and Matthew J. Evans, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office 4884 State Route 19, Belmont, NY 14813.
