their local communities to find comfort and gain understanding. This event is

Each year
more than 44,000 people in the United States die by suicide. For every person
who dies by suicide, there are numerous survivors left behind to cope with the
tragic loss. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States.
The Allegany
County Suicide Coalition and the Cuba Cultural Center in conjunction with AFSP
will include a screening of “The Journey: A Story of Healing and Hope and The
Journey: Revisited, a new follow-up featurette to the original film which
checks in with several of the Journey participants to see where they are now,
and how the last few years have changed them and their healing process.
The Allegany
County Suicide Prevention Coalition is committed to embracing life by being a
resource for suicide prevention, intervention and postvention. For more
