Bath VA Medical Center to present info on services at two Allegany County libraries

BATH, NY –The Bath VA Medical Center is partnering with the Southern Tier Library System to provide free informational sessions about veterans’ resources in local libraries. Two of these sessions are scheduled in Allegany County libraries during November.The David A. Howe Public Library in Wellsville will host staff from the Veterans Administration on Tuesday, November 14, from 4-5 p.m. in the library’s Monday Club room. The second event will be held in the meeting room of the Fillmore Wide Awake Club Library on Wednesday, November 15, from 4-5p.m.Staff from several departments of the Bath VA Medical Center will be present at these sessions to discuss the services and resources available for veterans through the Veterans Administration. The center offers a variety of health services to meet the needs of our nation’s Veterans.Veterans, their family members and caregivers, and others interested in learning about the services offered by the VA are invited to attend. Today’s Veterans Health Administration continues to meet Veterans’ changing medical, surgical, and quality of life needs. New programs provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, post traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention, women Veterans, and more. VA opened outpatient clinics, established telemedicine, and other services to accommodate a diverse Veteran population and cultivates on-going medical research and innovation to improve the lives of America’s patriots.
