Coach Frank Brown has been designated interim head coach for
the Wellsville Varsity Football team as the Lions prepare to enter post-season
play. Coach Brown was named Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2017
season following the resignation of Wayne Stonemetz, who stepped down as head
coach on Wednesday, October 18 for personal reasons. Coach Brown was the Lions’
defensive coach for 2017. Prior to Wednesday’s practice, Coach Brown met with the
team to discuss the transition. The Lions will be playing Holley in the Connors
& Ferris Bowl in Holley on Saturday, October 21st at 1:30 p.m. (16848 Lynch
Rd, Holley, NY 14470).
