Angelica - Carl L. Rawleigh, 62, of 47 Mechanic Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday (September 2, 2017) at home.
Born in Wellsville, February 16, 1955, the son of LaVerne and Betty (Beach) Rawleigh, he was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Scio Central School, and then joining the US Army in 1976. Carl worked for the former Shadow Dancers in Angelica, and later for Edna Oar Young in Angelica. He went on to earn his degree in Drafting/CAD in 1999, from Alfred State College, and went onto work at Corning Inc, Pratt and Whitney, and Dresser Rand. His last job was at the Seneca Allegany Casino, where he worked in Customer Service and managing the slots.
Carl loved sports but especially the Buffalo Bills, and Sabres, he also enjoyed radio controlled cars, fishing, golfing and riding and talking about his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He was predeceased by his mother Betty Beach Rawleigh Dieter, his father LaVerne E. Rawleigh, step father Ted Dieter, and a step brother Aaron Ellsessor.
He is survived by his wife Trude Brandes Rawleigh, who he married on May 29, 1993, his brother Richard (Susan) Rawleigh, his daughter Cynthia “Cindy” (Jason) Reinhard, step daughter June (Kirk) Brickwood, 2 step sons Raymond (Beth) Snyder, and Carl Reynolds his grandchildren Drew Reinhard, Hayden, Allison, Harrison Brickwood, Jenna and Jeffrey Snyder, Alicia, CJ and Lilly Reynolds, 2 great grandchildren Roman Brickwood, and Ryan Sonnleitner, step brothers Shayne Ellsessor, Brett (Heidi) Ellsessor and step sister Jennifer (Rick) Hunt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9PM Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue in Angelica, where Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Kurt Kirch officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
