Stauffer Co. files WARN notice for Cuba, NY site - 51 workers impacted

Recently, the Stauffer Biscuit Company said it would close its Cuba plant, shifting operations to Pennsylvania and California. Company officials said in a press release the action was to make for more efficient operations. The company also said the workers would be given to opportunity to relocated to California...or PA. The community was not impressed with the generous offer.
On Wednesday, the company complied with the law and filed the official WARN notice, which is required. Happy Holiday's. Here is the filing:
