Olean General Hospital, member hospital of Upper Allegheny Health System, honored its staff for their dedicated years of service to the hospital during an employee service award ceremony, Sept. 21 at Good Times of Olean. Those honored represent 1,235 years of combined service.
A special recognition included honoring Lynn Carlson, LPN,
who celebrated 50 years of service to the hospital. She was hired in 1967 as a
nurse assistant on the second floor. Over the years, she earned a nursing
degree and worked in ICU and the third floor before joining the quality
department where she works today.
“Every year, we welcome the opportunity to thank our
employees for all they do for our hospital and our patients. To honor Lynn this
year after 50 years of service to Olean General Hospital, is a true testament
to how vital our employees are to our hospital’s success. Her long standing
dedication is noteworthy and we celebrate her and all of our employees as they
are essence of our commitment to the communities we serve,” said Timothy J.
