Looking to see record growth in 4th year
Willing, NY (September 21, 2017) - The fourth annual Willing
Fall Harvest Festival (WFHF) will be held on Saturday, September 30, from 11:30
a.m. to 6 p.m. at the historic Town of Willing Grange located near the
intersection of Route 19 and County Road 29, five minutes south of Wellsville,
New York. Admission and parking at the
festival is free.
Over the past three years the festival has continued to see
substantial growth and is expecting upwards of 1500 attendees in it’s fourth
year.
“We are so excited to see the continued community engagement
and support,” commented founders Jennifer and Marshall Green. “It has been truly a pleasure to build
something, in partnership with Yorks Corners Church, which brings families and
all types of people together for a fun engaging old-fashioned family event.”
The WFHF has grown to offer a variety of free events for the
family including hayrides and carnival games.
Through the sponsorship of First Citizens Community Bank, free tethered
hot air balloon rides will be offered for all kids three to 14 years old. One adult will ride free with each group of
kids and additional adults are only $5.
The balloon rides will begin later in the afternoon pending low wind
speeds.
The Wellsville County Club has also stepped forward with a
sponsorship providing the first 150 children in attendance with a free pumpkin
to paint.
The Willing Fire Department will be on hand for the third
year in a row with their annual Fireman’s Boot Fundraiser and offering fire
truck tours, demonstrations and an opportunity for kids to shoot the water
hoses.
In addition to the vide variety of vendors at the festival,
there will be double the food options of previous years. Both Hot Diggity Dog and fresh wood fired
pizzas from Alfred State Culinary will be back this year along with the
addition of Believe Foods food truck, Perfect Blend Café, and other carnival
type food vendors.
The festival will also feature other free events such as old
fashion sack races and no-hands donut eating contests, petting zoo curtesy of
the Allegany SPCA, face painting and pumpkin painting.
New this year will be a quilt show, live music from 1 p.m.
to 4 p.m. and a dance performance by Heidi Noel’s Performing Arts Studio at 2
p.m. For more information about the WFHF, please visit
