Big rig incident causes mess in Wellsville

An incident involving a big rig with a huge load caused quite a mess in Wellsville Thursday morning. The incident occurred on Bolivar Road near Field Street. The rig, allegedly from a local company, was hauling a super large concrete beam when something went wrong. Terribly wrong. The massive beam came off the truck. WRN was told unofficially that the beam or truck also impacted or nearly impacted a utility pole. State Police are investigating and Wellsville Fire was called to assist with traffic control along the busy State Route 417. There were no apparent injuries. The pictures show some highway damage.
