Olean man gets probation in 2016 Cuba stabbing

An Olean man has avoided jail/prison time stemming from a stabbing incident last September in Cuba.
Allegany County Judge Terrance Parker sentenced 28-year-old Guy H. Ackley II of South Barry Street to three years probation. Ackley was first charged by police with 1st degree assault, a class B felony, felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor counts of menacing and resisting arrest. According to a press release issued by the Allegany County District Attorney, Ackley "displayed a straight fixed blade knife, stabbed Donald Moore causing a laceration that required medical attention." The incident occurred September 11, 2016 in Cuba. Judge Parker sentenced Ackley to probation plus a court surcharge and DNA fee. The sentence was handed down June 21st and released this morning.
