Jam in the Valley Day 1, Varysburg, NY Press Release

Opening night of the Jam in the Valley Event at Buffalo Hill in Varysburg, NY resulted in two arrests.   Deputies in the concert venue discovered a 45-year-old woman attempting to harm herself with scissors and took custody of her pursuant the Mental Hygiene Law.  She was taken to the Wyoming County Community Hospital for her minor injuries and a Mental Health Evaluation. 
Additionally, a 17-year-old female was arrested for assault in the third degree.  Southern Tier Security Officers are strictly enforcing non-permitted or non “wrist-banded” people from entering or remaining on the Jam in the Valley property.  This 17-year-old allegedly entered the property unlawfully and bit a Southern Tier Security Officer attempting to apprehend her.  She was arraigned in the Town of Sheldon Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $150.00 bail.
