CAMPBELL, NY (WENY) - WENY is receiving reports of a major accident on I-86 near Campbell.
According to our affiliate WHAM in Rochester, New York State Police confirm a trooper had a vehicle pulled over and was struck by a pickup truck. He is being flown to URMC in Rochester.
State Police say the Trooper was seriously injured.
The accident happened between exit 40 and 42. Traffic in the area is backed-up.
No word yet on identity of the Trooper, or how the accident happened.
