Building Inspector to Conduct Assessments
May 11, 2017—Olean—The City of Olean has announced that Building Inspector Ryan Reed will be conducting assessments of properties in the City. Mr. Reed’s assessments will include photographing properties and gathering other information for the City’s new database for vacant and zombie properties. Mr. Reed will not be accessing any private site. He will be at street level or on the sidewalk to conduct the assessments. Mr. Reed will be carrying identification. The project is slated to begin on May 15, 2017. This building inspector position is being funded through the $100,000 grant that the City of Olean received from the Zombie and Vacant Properties Remediation and Prevention Initiative from the Local Initiatives Support Corporation or LISC.
