WELLSVILLE – Charlotte E. Lynch, 76, passed away Friday (May
12, 2017) at Florida Hospital Tampa in Tampa, Fla. following a brief illness.
Mrs. Lynch was born on June 11, 1940 in Andover to Lawrence
and Charlotte Marie (Alvoid) Clarke. She was a 1958 graduate of Andover Central
School. On May 30, 1992, at the Andover First Baptist Church, she married
Robert Lynch, who survives. One year later they had a marriage blessing
ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Church in Andover.
Charlotte worked as a bookkeeper for Joyce Pipeline from
1975 to 1983. She later worked in student accounts at Alfred University from
1982 until her retirement in 1992.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons,
Donald Perry of Bath, Kevin (Annette) Perry of Andover; three step-children,
Kevin Lynch of Strykersville, David (Bonnie) Lynch of Chaffee, and Bobbie Sue
(Lee) Schiffhauer of Evans, Ga.; one sister, Irene (Harold) Tiffany of Bracey,
Va.; one brother, Philip Clarke of Andover; 12 grandchildren; and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Louie Claire, Ernest
Claire and Clinton Claire; and four sisters, Mida Claire, Edna Fanton, Ida
Bongiva and Elizabeth Berry.
Charlotte enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. She loved
to cheer on her grandchildren at all their sporting events and looked forward
to the family get togethers and cookouts. Charlotte and her girlfriends often
got together over a nice lunch and caught up on the latest news. Additionally,
with her husband Bob, they would light up the dance floor with country dancing
at the Wellsville American Legion and at their winter home in Florida.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the
Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover and on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the
Andover First Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at
11:00 a.m. at the Andover First Baptist Church immediately following the
visitation with Rev. Calvin Densmore, officiating. Burial will follow in
Hillside Cemetery in Andover. Online condolences may be offered at
